Lana Del Rey - “National Anthem” (starring A$AP Rocky)
As I imagine they intended, the high contrast was definitely jarring as was the traditionally obvious ending. Ultimately I must say the video was extremely well executed. Superb visuals. And….it was good seeing A$AP Rocky outside of the stereotypical realm of a rapper. Even without any lines he played his role rather naturally.
This is one of those videos that leaves you feeling a tad uncomfortable or, even a little uncertain of how to feel; but with a feeling none the less.

“National Anthem” is one of my faves off of Born To Die. The video has just the right amount of class and a good balance of NOW for the hood kids. Pure art.
